The competition

Can you help?! We are looking for some talented artists and graphic designers to help us! This year we are looking to make our bikes a little different: to have the graphics and paint scheme custom designed - by you!

Out in the Alps we find the Orange 224 is the ideal bike - but because a lot of others think so too we want to make them stand out at the lifts. Therefore for this season we've decided to go down the custom route, but instead of coming up with the designs ourselves we've decided to put it out there for all you talented designers and photoshoppers. We have the templates of our bikes and all the necessary logos online for you to download and do your best with!

The winning design will actually be made up and used on our bikes this summer, being painted up by Orange and the graphics being custom printed on Motocross quality vinyl by the Moto experts over at Evoke Concepts.

So what is in it for you?! Well, we have teamed up with the companies we work with to offer some great prizes for your efforts. The TOP 3 will win prizes that to be honest I'd quite like to keep myself!

The Top 3 designs will win:

An Oakley Backpack stuffed full of the following:

A pair of Oakley Crowbar Goggles
An Oakley T shirt, Beanie and Lanyard
Hope custom 'Hub Salt and Pepper shakers' (you can't get these for love nor money!) and Hope lazer etched keyrings
Orange bikes Hoodie, lock on grips, race jersey and water bottle

Along with this swag bag, the winning design will win a £100 voucher for any Riders Retreat holiday! In addition to their design being made up on the bikes!

We want this to be ANYTHING GOES, and really let the imagination rule. However there some requirements:

The designs are for use on our bikes - so they need to be able to be printed - no obscenity, bad language, or designs that would be difficult to print.
The paint schemes should be one colour for the main frame, and again one colour for the swing arm (although not necessarily the same colour). The bikes will be powder coated in this colour and therefore they need to be a bold, single colour.
The logos of Oakley, Hope, Orange and Riders Retreat need to be included somewhere - it could be as ghosted graphics, listed somewhere on the swing arm or imaginatively included into the over all design.
The deadline is the End of February. Please send all entries to info@riders-retreat.co.uk along with your full contact details. These can be in any format- e.g. JPEG, Photoshop, Illustrator, or even hand drawn and scanned in!

We will have a gallery of the top designs up on Descent World and are looking forward to seeing all your ideas!
