Mountain biking in the Portes du Soleil
The mountain biking available in the Portes du Soleil area is considered by ourselves and many others to be the best in Europe, if not the world. With over 400km of trails accessed by the 24 chair lifts taking you straight to the top of the mountain you'll never get bored of the riding on offer.
The Portes du Soleil area stretches right over into Switzerland where there is more riding than can be imagined. Using Morzine as a base camp provides the easiest, most central access to the full area with Les Gets to the East and Switzerland to the West.
Year on year the area is expanding and accomodating our needs more and more. Last year saw an overhaul of the Chatel bike park and various new downhill tracks and routes, as well numerous other course were improvements.

Morzine
The town has two distinct valley sides, each serviced by a dedicated lift system. From here you can venture over towards Les Gets or head all the way over to Switzerland - via comprehensive lift access servicing dozens of mountain biking trails and tracks.
Les Gets
There are many tracks right on your door step, serviced by 2 lifts: The Mont Chery gondola and the newly opened Chavannes express chairlift that takes you higher than before to another downhill course. If you want to head further a field, the lift network can take you all the way to Chatel and over into Switzerland and the resort of Morgins.
